Social Committee

Hi everyone! I am a first year in the DSAN program originally from Mauritius. I attended the University of Virginia where I majored in Astrophysics and French. I currently serve as Chair of DSAN Social Committee and President of Georgetown Women in Data Science. In my free time, I enjoy building legos, trying out happy hour spots and traveling. I love being part of the the DSAN community and look forward to meeting more people!

I’m a first year student in Georgetown’s DSAN program. I studied Psychology and Sociology in undergrad at UVA and made the switch to Data Science while following my passion for data-driven insights for social science. At UVA I served in several leadership positions for a student club called Organization of Young Filipino Americans (OYFA). Through my involvement in OYFA, I gained valuable personal and professional insights and became part of a supportive community whose connections lasted beyond graduation. I’m is excited to bring my experience in leadership, event planning, and social programming to help foster community-building within DSAN!

Hi, I’m Bilal! I’m a data science student who spends a lot of time making sense of messy data and occasionally arguing with models until they behave. I’m a bit of a renaissance guy, so you’ll usually find me bouncing between data, art, music, and whatever else sparks curiosity. As part of the program’s social committee, I’m excited to help build a welcoming community so if you see me around the DSAN suite, feel free to stop by and talk data… or art.

I’m a first-year student in the DSAN program originally from Mexico. I’m passionate about Formula 1, soccer, and music, and you’ll often find me exploring new playlists or getting involved in campus activities.
